About Severnside Financial Planning

We are a small Financial Advisory practice with 5 advisers currently.  The business started in April 2020.

At Severnside it is our aim to deliver the best investment solution to our clients in the most tax efficient environment to create and maintain their wealth in line with their individual financial goals, objectives and appetite for risk.

The team at Severnside are unique in their experience when it comes to socially responsible and ethical investing. Having previously co managed two of the longest running, market leading ethical investment portfolios, our understanding of the various ways you can invest in an ethical way, truly sets us apart from other financial advisers and is something we are extremely proud of.

It is becoming increasingly important for many investors to align their investment portfolios in a way that incorporates their views around the environment, climate change, sustainability and human rights.

Before Assyst:-

We were using a Microsoft Access database, nicknamed Genesis! To a degree it was working for us in the initial stages of our business and we inherited the data when we purchased a company on day 1.  However, we are now we are in year 3 with more advisers, and we felt it was the most natural step to have a suitable off the shelf solution.

We needed a system that would allow us to have a number of advisers utilising a central system all at once. 

We have a growing business/client bank.  More task driven.  We wanted to use technology to make our business more efficient, and offer a more streamlined service to our clients.

During our evaluation we looked at Intelliflo, Xplan/iress/ Adviser Cloud, Time for Advice

Why Assyst?

Very early on, we felt Assyst was the right fit for helping grow our business.  Compared to the other providers, we were very impressed by the reasonable cost and the quality of service.  This was a large factor in our decision.

The Future?

Use more of client-Assyst’s features, and possibly add more users, as we continue to scale and grow the business.

In Conclusion

Remember you are not just buying a product, you are also buying into the people who make up the company.  The customer experience, the support etc.  One is no good without the other.
